WHAT IS CLAIRE'S PLACE FOUNDATION, INC. ALL ABOUT?
Claire’s Place Foundation, Inc. is a 501c3 charity founded by Claire Wineland, a 14- year old girl with Cystic Fibrosis. In April, 2010, Claire became septic after one of many surgeries and landed in a coma for 17 days. Her family was given a 1% chance of her surviving, but survive she did! Since then, she has made it her mission to help other families that are living with this disease. Our charity has three main programs…one is financial aid to families that are in the PICU for more than 21 days; another is an outreach/resource program for newly diagnosed families and families that may need support from others in their area; finally, a dream trip program aimed at helping coordinate dream trips for children under 18 with Cystic Fibrosis.
