Ellie Goulding – Anything Could Happen (Birdy Nam Nam Remix)

Elena Jane “Ellie” Goulding comes to us from England with her title as the second artist besides Adele to top the BBC’s annual Sound of…poll and win the Critics’ Choice Award at the Brit Awards in the same year in 2010. This London babe knows how to pop. England’s indie pop queen is well versed in the electropop, synthpop, folktronica and indietronica worlds, and brings to the table not only her amazing vocals, but guitar, piano, drums, clarinet, mandolin, and tambourine sounds. Not only is she a singer-songwriter, but a musician and record producer. If you haven’t heard of her until now, then you will be in for a treat.
Not too many people can say they rocked the palace. Well, not too many on our side of the pond, but Ellie Goulding on the other hand can say she partied with royalty. She performed at the wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Buckingham Palace, maybe you’ve heard of them? She performed her cover song of Elton John’s “Your Song” which reached number two in the UK in December 2010. By that year, her released debut studio album, Lights, rocked the UK Albums Chart at number one and sold over 850,000 copies in the UK. The album’s title track, “Lights”, was released in the United States in March 2011, and reached its peak position of number two on the Billboard Hot 100 nearly a year and a half later during its thirty-third week charting, completing one of the longest ever climbs into the top two positions on the chart.
Ellie’s recent October 2012 release of her newest album Halcyon was positively received by critics, especially her track Anything Could Happen which preceded the album as the lead single. It’s one of those tracks that makes you wanna dance and nor matter what mood you’re in it is guaranteed to make you feel good. Listen to it below and enjoy the video too!
