Migraine Research Foundation

Migraine affects people of all ages. Yourself or somebody you know might be affected by migraine and experience first hand the horrific feeling of such an attack. According to the Migraine Research Foundation there are approximately 27 million sufferers in the United States and three times as many women as men suffer from migraine in adulthood. Migraine affects everyone but unfortunately women are disproportionately affected. Also, did you know that 10% of School-age children suffer from migraine and half of all migraine sufferers have their first attack before the age of 12? Suffering from migraine affects people in many ways, such as causing them to miss work or school. Another interesting fact according to the Migraine Research Foundation is children who suffer are absent from school twice as often as children without migraine. Now that’s not fair…Let’s do something about it!

The mission of the Migraine Research Foundation is to assist sufferers by providing information and support and to end the debilitating pain of migraine by raising funds for innovative research to further the understanding of its causes, to develop improved treatment targets, and to find the cure.
